1. Introduction
1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Service. It applies to everyone who uses services provided by Getradi Ltd ("Getradi"), including our customers and anyone using a customer's account or website.
1.2 You are responsible for making sure that your account, your websites and the people you allow to use them comply with this AUP.
2. Illegal and harmful content
2.1 You must not use our services to store, publish, transmit or link to any material that:
- is illegal under the law of England and Wales or the law that applies to you;
- contains or promotes child sexual abuse material. We report any such material to the Internet Watch Foundation and the police immediately, and terminate the account without notice;
- promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or incites violence or hatred against any person or group;
- is defamatory, harassing or threatening, or breaches someone's privacy or data protection rights;
- infringes copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property rights, including under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (for example, unlicensed software, music, films or "nulled" themes and plugins);
- is designed to deceive people, such as phishing pages, fake shops, fraudulent investment schemes or websites imitating another organisation; or
- offers goods or services that are illegal to sell in the UK or in the country where you sell them.
3. Security and malicious activity
3.1 You must not use our services to:
- host, distribute or control malware, viruses, ransomware, botnets or similar harmful software;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account or data, including other customers' accounts or our infrastructure (this may be an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990);
- carry out port scans, vulnerability scans, penetration tests or denial-of-service attacks against systems you do not own or have written permission to test;
- run open proxies, open mail relays, IRC bots, VPN endpoints or anonymising services; or
- interfere with or bypass the security, monitoring or resource limits of our platform.
3.2 You must keep the software you install (such as WordPress, WooCommerce, themes and plugins) up to date, use strong and unique passwords, and remove software you no longer use. Compromised websites are one of the main causes of malware and spam on shared hosting.
4. Email
4.1 You must not send unsolicited bulk or commercial email ("spam"). Marketing emails must comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and data protection law. In practice, this means you must have valid consent or a lawful "soft opt-in", identify yourself clearly and include a working unsubscribe link in every message.
4.2 You must not use purchased, rented or scraped email lists, forge email headers, or use our servers to send email that appears to come from a domain you are not authorised to use.
4.3 Each plan has a limit on outgoing emails per hour, shown on our website. Our hosting is not designed for newsletter or bulk mailing. If you need to send large volumes, use a dedicated email marketing service.
4.4 We may limit or block outgoing email from an account that causes our servers to be listed on spam block lists.
5. Fair use of resources
5.1 Our hosting is shared. You must not use it in a way that unreasonably affects the performance or stability of the server or other customers. In particular, you must not:
- mine cryptocurrency or run other CPU-intensive background processes;
- use your account mainly for file storage, backup storage, file sharing or media streaming, rather than to serve a website;
- run persistent processes, game servers, torrent clients or chat servers; or
- schedule cron jobs more often than every 5 minutes without our agreement.
5.2 If your account uses more resources than its plan allows, we will contact you and help you find a solution, such as optimising your site or upgrading your plan. See section 8 of our Terms.
6. Reporting abuse
6.1 If you believe a website or service hosted by Getradi breaches this AUP or the law, please email abuse@getradi.eu with:
- the full web address (URL), email headers or IP address involved;
- a description of the problem and, where relevant, evidence (such as screenshots or log extracts);
- for intellectual property complaints, details of the work you own and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them; and
- your name and contact details, so we can follow up.
6.2 We acknowledge abuse reports within one working day. We investigate each report, may ask the customer for their response and take the action described in section 7. We will tell you the outcome where appropriate, but we may not be able to share details about our customers.
6.3 Notice and takedown. When we receive a valid notice about clearly unlawful content, we act promptly to remove or disable access to it, as described in the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002. We may give the customer the opportunity to respond first unless the content is clearly unlawful or harmful.
6.4 Requests from authorities. We comply with valid orders and lawful requests from courts, law enforcement and regulators, including requests related to the Online Safety Act 2023 where it applies. As a hosting provider we do not monitor the content of our customers' websites in general, but we act on information we receive.
7. How we enforce this policy
7.1 If we find that this AUP has been breached, we will take action that is proportionate to the seriousness of the breach. This may include:
- a warning with a deadline to fix the problem;
- removing or disabling access to specific files or content;
- limiting outgoing email or resources;
- suspending the account or Service; or
- terminating the Service.
7.2 For most issues we will contact you first and give you a reasonable time to fix them. If there is a serious or immediate risk (for example, active malware, phishing, spam campaigns or illegal content), we may act without prior notice and tell you as soon as possible afterwards.
7.3 Services terminated for a serious or repeated breach of this AUP are not eligible for a refund, including under our 15-day money-back guarantee.
7.4 We may report illegal activity to the police or other relevant authorities and share relevant information with them as permitted by law.
8. Changes
8.1 We may update this AUP to reflect new threats, technology or legal requirements. We will notify customers of significant changes by email.
